I’ve had the pleasure of working on Black Mirror since season 2 – over those years I’ve helped art direct and create various pieces of content for their social channels. In that time we’ve stayed true to the shows nature. Engaging fans with cryptic messaging, reality breaking content, and making fans question what’s real. For season 6 we made sure that fans won’t ever skip the ‘terms of agreement’ again – our generator site gave our strong fan community a unexpected opportunity for their lives to become public. For select users who participated, we took their profile images, created templates, and quickly turned around billboard designs – displaying them in high traffic areas in the UK. Now everyone knows how awful they can be.

For Season 7, we wanted to tease the upcoming season while keeping Black Mirror’s cryptic allure. For our A/V assets we kept our messaging subtle and had fans dig deep to uncover what’s upcoming on the newest season. For those with a keen eye, they were able to discover a new episode of USS Callister was on the way – and if they pause in the right spots, they’d be able to decipher the latest casting.
